We love fashion that does the talking for us but how about rocking a brand that's also a voice for the animals. Recently I decided to go on a mission to find a stylish eco-chic brand of vegan apparel. One day while scrolling through Instagram I came across FTLA Apparel and loved their designs. So I reached out to the owner and designer of FTLA Apparel, Kimberly Fawn Panzarella and learned more about her brand and process.
- FTLA Apparel (For The Love Of Animals Apparel) is an eco-friendly, cruelty-free fashion label for animal lovers, activists, vegans, fur babies and their humans.
- Kimberly personally hand screen prints every single garment, one by one on a per order basis. Using polyester mesh screens and non-toxic, eco-friendly water-based inks.
- All aspects of FTLA Apparel are 100% cruelty-free, eco-friendly, sweatshop-free, fair trade and animal-friendly.
The style I ordered is the Eco Fleece Off The Shoulder Sweatshirt - Vegan Leaf design in the color Eco Wheat. For styles like this, I recommend ordering up a size to get the slouchy, relaxed off-the-shoulder look. I ended up going with size large and it's perfect. The quality is excellent, the fleece inside is super soft and cozy, it's ridiculously comfy and I've basically been living in this sweatshirt since I got it.
I've also noticed something really cool since I've been wearing my new sweatshirt around with the word "Vegan" boldly displayed. I've been meeting new vegans everywhere I go! People notice and say "Hey, you're vegan? That's awesome, me too!" or "Hey, I've been wanting to go vegan, how's it going for you?"
Fashion can be a pretty cool conversation starter and way to connect with others. Especially when it's based on an important message and a meaningful lifestyle that's so important to you, the animals and the planet.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, how cool to think that your clothing can spread a message that could save a thousand animals!
