Zoya Island Fun and Paradise Sun, Summer 2015Thursday, June 18, 2015
Zoya Island Fun and Paradise Sun for Summer 2015, now available to order on the Zoya website here. If you're looking for bright and bold nail colors to wear this summer, checkout the new Zoya collections, Island Fun and Paradise Sun.
All Zoya nail polishes are Big 5 Free! Those 5 toxic chemicals are formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, dibutyl phthalate, and camphor. Technically speaking beauty should be based around health, so using toxic ingredients sort of defeats the purpose, right? Thankfully Zoya is dedicated to creating healthy nail colors for us to enjoy and feel good about wearing!
Zoya Island Fun contains six richly pigmented, full coverage creams.
- Demetria a vibrant poppy red
- Nana a deep summer fuchsia
- Serenity a true summer purple
- Jace a tropical green
- Cecilia a classic teal
- Talia a bold turquoise
For all Zoya Island Fun and Paradise Sun nail polish swatches, I applied two coats and photographed in natural daylight. No base coat or top coat. However, I definitely recommend wearing a base coat with these nail polishes. Because of their intense pigmentation, they are prone to staining nails, especially the blues and teals.
Zoya Paradise Sun contains six highly pigmented, full coverage nail colors with micronized metallic pearl finishes.
- Genesis a crystalline white with micronized metallic pearl
- Mae a bright warm magenta pink with micronized metallic pearl
- Aphroite a vibrant summer red with micronized metallic pearl and golden multi-hue flecks
- Isa a deep blue-based purple with micronized metallic pearl and aqua flecks
- Selene a teal green with micronized metallic pearl and aqua flecks
- Oceane a shimmering turquoise with micronized metallic pearl
Application was smooth on each of the Zoya Island Fun cream formula nail polishes. The formula of Paradise Sun felt a little thicker due to the pearl. Initially I was most excited about Genesis. However, I found Genesis was the most difficult for me to apply evenly, I did get some streaking and it felt the thickest of the bunch. Personally I prefer my nail polishes on the thinner side. But I love clean white nails, so I kept working with it and three thin coats seems to get the best application out of Genesis.
All of the nail polishes from Zoya Island Fun and Paradise Sun have high intensity pigmentation. So be sure to wear a base coat to avoid staining your nails. The blues and teals are the most prone to causing nail stains.
I had good wear time of about 5 days with minimal tip wear as with most Zoya nail polishes. Overall, if you love bold bright nail colors for summer, then Zoya Island Fun and Paradise Sun are worth checking out.
