Zuzu Luxe Chameleon EyeshadowThursday, June 25, 2015
On my quest to clean up my makeup collection and switch to cruelty-free, natural, healthy skin-loving products... I've been exploring some amazing cruelty-free and vegan makeup brands, Gabriel Cosmetics and their line Zuzu Luxe is one of them.
In today's post we'll focus on Zuzu Luxe eyeshadow in Chameleon. Last time we reviewed Zuzu Luxe Egyptian Gold, if you missed that post, I'll link it here.
Zuzu Luxe is a leaping bunny certified cruelty-free cosmetics brand, made with all natural ingredients and inspired by the European spa tradition. Zuzu Luxe is a line from the vegan makeup brand Gabriel Cosmetics. All of their makeup is vegan, however, they do have a series of makeup brushes made with cruelty-free animal hair as well. Zuzu Luxe cosmetics are also certified gluten-free.
Chameleon is a beachy bronze with warm shimmer. The formula is highly pigmented with great color payoff. The powder is finely milled into a smooth, creamy texture and blends out effortlessly.
In the photos above I'm wearing Zuzu Luxe eyeshadows:
- Egyptian Gold (all over lid and inner corner)
- Chameleon (outer V and lower lash line)
- Sahara (upper lash line)

Zuzu Luxe's Chameleon eyeshadow adds a soft glimmering warmth to the eye, with a lovely light diffusing finish. Something that really stands out to me is the buttery smooth, blendable texture of these eyeshadows, they make it easy to create a flawless transition between colors.

Zuzu Luxe eyeshadows are made with all natural ingredients and contain .07 oz (about 2 grams) of product. They retail for $15.25 on the Gabriel Cosmetics website here.
Zuzu Luxe Eyeshadow Ingredients: Mica (Mineral), Cetyl Palmitate (Sunflower), Silica (Mineral), Kaolin (Clay), Zinc Stearate (Mineral), Jojoba Oil (Organic), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Coconut), Lecithin (Sunflower), Sea Fennel Extract (Organic), Tocopheryl Acetate (Avocado), Iron Oxides (Mineral), Titanium Dioxide (Mineral).
The packaging is Zuzu Luxe's classic silver compact, with a frosted top. The compact is a type of plastic but has a sturdy feel, and is 2 inches (50mm) in diameter.
They also offer a recycle program here.
The printed design on the compact was recently updated from this older design, to the new Gabriel Cosmetics/Zuzu Luxe signature wave logo (as shown in my Egyptian Gold eyeshadow post).
Overall, Zuzu Luxe Chameleon eyeshadow is a winner on every level! Chameleon creates that beautiful beach bronzed Victoria's Secret look that I've always loved.
