Zuzu Luxe Innocence LiplinerSaturday, June 27, 2015
I believe there's a perfect bombshell nude lip for every skin tone. It's just a matter of finding the right sultry shade that compliments your natural coloring, not only your skin tone but hair and eyes also.
For a universally flattering nude lip, natural hues in a medium shade with neutral undertones tend to create beautifully subdued lips, without the washed-out look.
Zuzu Luxe Innocence is one of those bombshell lipliners, a muted mauve-nude with medium intensity and a neutral, subtle earthy undertone.
Zuzu Luxe is a line from the vegan makeup brand Gabriel Cosmetics. They're one of my favorite cruelty-free makeup brands and are gluten-free as well. *All of their makeup is vegan, however, they do have a series of animal hair makeup brushes that are cruelty-free.
All Gabriel Cosmetics and Zuzu Luxe products are made in the USA, except their pencils, which are made in Germany. Zuzu Luxe lipliners retail for $13.80 USD on their website here.
Zuzu Luxe Innocence lipliner applies smooth without tugging or pulling. Something I've come to appreciate and search out, because goodness knows we don't want anymore lip lines than we already have, right?! I learned this the hard way after drinking out of straws way too often, over the past few years. Save your lips, skip the straw! ...But that's another post entirely. ;)
Back to this lovely lipliner...
Zuzu Luxe Innocence feels good on the lips, it's non-drying and contains jojoba oil for added moisturizing benefits. Average wear time has been around 3 hours, or from meal to meal. This is typical of all my quality lipliners, since I have to brush/floss after each meal due to my Invisalign braces.
Zuzu Luxe Lipliner Ingredients (100% Vegan):
Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Euphorbia Cerifera (Organic Candelilla) Wax, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Coconut), Simmondsia Chinensis (Organic Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Avocado), Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Crithmum Maritimum (Organic Sea Fennel) Extract, Hectorite (Naturally Occurring Clay/Mineral), Lecithin (Sunflower), Iron Oxides (Mineral), Titanium Dioxide (Mineral).
This lipliner has replaced several of my old non-cruelty-free lipliners, I can see it becoming one of my most worn favorite lipliners.
Below are swatches of the three Zuzu Luxe lipliners I have; Fresh, Innocence and Terra Cotta.
